It hap­pens more often than you’d think. We plan a believ­able cov­er sto­ry, like a sun­set aper­i­ti­vo or a boat tour, and keep the set­up out of sight until the last minute.

Yes. The town stays open all year, the light is soft and the view­points are far less crowd­ed. We plan around the ear­ly sun­set, about 4:35 pm in mid-Decem­ber, and agree a plan B in case of rain.
